Founded in 1996, Mrs. Globe has evolved into a competition that places strong emphasis on social responsibility, charitable work, and the personal journeys of its contestants. Yuliia, what does participating in Mrs Globe 2026 mean to you today?

For me, it’s definitely not only about a beauty pageant or a crown. First of all, it’s about opportunities, personal brand development, and having a platform to speak about important issues.

Mrs Globe is one of the most prestigious international pageants for women 25+, and it is very different from the stereotypical image of beauty contests. Here, people evaluate not only a woman’s appearance, but also her achievements, mission, charity work, and social impact.

How did you first enter the world of beauty pageants?

It all started with the ‘Krasa Krainy’ competition. That’s where I received the title Mrs Central Europe Globe 2026, which gave me the opportunity to represent Ukraine internationally.

For me, it was very unexpected because I had never had this kind of experience before.

So beauty pageants were not really part of your life before?

When I was a child, I attended a modeling agency for some time. But at one point, my father took me out of it because there was a strong stereotype back then: if a girl wanted to become a lawyer, she should stay away from the modeling world.

And it’s actually very symbolic, because today I’m basically breaking that exact stereotype.

Did you often feel forced to choose between ‘beauty’ and a ‘serious career’?

All the time. People would directly tell me: these things don’t go together. Either you are about beauty, or you are about a serious career.

But I never accepted those limits. Today, I live with the belief that a woman can be everything at once. She can be strong, intelligent, beautiful, and feminine while still being highly professional in her field.

How difficult was it to build a career as a young woman in the legal sphere?

Very difficult. My biggest challenge was that at 26 years old, people hardly took me seriously. For years, I had to not only grow professionally but also constantly prove that a young woman could actually be a strong specialist.

It was exhausting, but at the same time, it made me much stronger.

Do you remember the moment when you stopped being afraid of other people’s opinions?

Probably when I started relying more on myself instead of constantly seeking validation from others.

Because if you spend your whole life trying to prove something to everyone, you burn out very quickly. At some point, I realized that I don’t have to apologize for being a woman who enjoys looking beautiful while also building a serious business.

Do you feel strong competition between contestants in beauty pageants?

Honestly? Personally, no. I take it very lightly. I’m a communicative person, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with people.

Although people constantly remind me: ‘Don’t forget, these women are your competitors.’ But I simply cannot live in a constant state of rivalry.

At the same time, I do see that for many contestants the competition is very intense. Some girls barely even talk to each other.

What is actually evaluated at Mrs Globe?

Of course, appearance matters too — grooming, presentation, confidence. But a woman’s mission, her activities, charity work, and social influence are also very important.

Who you are as a person matters here.
