Now available to download and stream, “Ghosts” leans into a guitar-driven rock sound while threading its themes through a more reflective narrative style. Instead of taking a literal approach, the track frames its supernatural title concept through a wider lens, capturing how moments from different stages of life continue to echo in subtle and unexpected ways. In doing so, it creates a sense of continuity between past and present, shaping both perspective and personal evolution.

Speaking about the track, Mark Newman said, “‘Ghosts’ is about the people and experiences that stay with you. Some memories bring comfort, others bring pain, but they all become part of who you are. In that way, we’re all surrounded by ghosts.”

Built around a steady rock arrangement, this new single gives space for Mark Newman’s vocals and guitar work to guide the track’s emotional direction. There’s a natural ease to the performance, with each element working together to create a sound that feels grounded and sincere, allowing the song’s themes to come through without feeling overstated.

Mark Newman has built a long-standing career as a respected guitarist, songwriter, and performer, known for blending thoughtful lyricism with classic rock influences. With “Ghosts”, he continues to showcase that balance, offering a mature perspective on memory, growth, and the emotional echoes that linger over time.

The track was written by Mark Newman alongside Michael Mills, with production handled by Newman and Fred Guarino. Recording took place at Tiki Recording in Glen Cove, New York, where Fred Guarino and Jacob Koch engineered the track, before Fred Guarino completed the mixing and mastering.

The newly released track also features contributions from Naomi Margolin on guitar and vocals, John Cardone on bass and vocals, and Shawn Murray on drums and percussion, rounding out the track’s full-band sound.

With its thoughtful concept and grounded rock production, “Ghosts” adds another chapter to Mark Newman’s catalogue, reinforcing his reputation for creating music that connects across generations.
