Miami Synth Meet returns October 10 with live performances, gear demonstrations, generative music, and collaborative jams.

Following the success of its previous two gatherings, Miami Synth Meet returns to Churchill’s Pub on Saturday, October 10, from 2–6 p.m., bringing together South Florida’s electronic music community for an afternoon of live performances, synthesiser demonstrations, and collaborative jams.

Presented by Miami Modular & Synth Society and hosted by Nosivel, the free, 21-and-over event will feature live performances by Crescendo, LuckBElectric, Gray Ghost, System Lizard, Rafa, Miami Gameboy, and MGM Aquatics. The afternoon will also include individual gear demonstrations by Haze, Makina Overload, and Kako Guzman, with the latter additionally presenting a separate generative music set. Smooth Jazz Johnny will also deliver a generative music set, while collaborative group jams featuring local electronic artists will bring another creative element to the event.

More than a music showcase, Miami Synth Meet provides a creative space for musicians, producers, and enthusiasts to connect, experiment, and share their passion for electronic music.

We caught up with organiser Nosivel to discuss the enthusiastic response to the first gathering, what makes this growing community special, and what attendees can expect on October 10.

Your first Miami Synth Meet attracted a packed crowd. Were you surprised by the turnout, and what did that response mean to you as the organiser?

I was pleasantly surprised. As an organizer, there’s always that uncertainty about who will show up, so seeing the room full was encouraging. I think people connect with having a place to be creative without competing for a gig or attention. They can share something they love and feel part of a community. That inspires me to keep doing this.

For someone attending Miami Synth Meet for the first time, what can they expect to see and hear when they walk through the doors at Churchill’s Pub?

Definitely cables everywhere! You’ll hear everything from evolving generative sounds to live electronic performances, with demos and group jams throughout the afternoon. Walk around and follow whatever catches your ear. Then talk to the person making it. We love explaining our process, and those conversations are part of the experience.

Electronic music is often created independently, sometimes in home studios. Why is bringing South Florida’s synth community together in person so important?

Making electronic music can be solitary, even when you’re active in the scene. This gives us a place to exchange ideas, experiment together, and support each other’s growth. The community matters because it gives people a reason to keep showing up and creating. I want those connections to continue beyond the event.

With live performances, gear demonstrations, and collaborative sessions planned throughout the afternoon, what are you personally most excited for people to experience?

The group jams. We bring together three or four performers who have never played together and give them a shared key and tempo. The interesting part is how they listen, make room, and build something together. For artists who usually work alone, it’s a chance to be part of a band for the day.

For someone who loves music but knows absolutely nothing about synthesisers or electronic music production, is this an event they can still enjoy? What would you say to encourage them to come out?

Absolutely. You don’t need to understand a synthesizer to connect with what someone makes with it. Come listen, ask questions, or just enjoy the afternoon. Fresh curiosity brings something to the room, too. It’s free, ages 21 and up, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Churchill’s.

As Miami Synth Meet prepares for its third gathering, the event continues to build on its aim of bringing South Florida’s electronic music community together through creativity, experimentation, and collaboration. From established producers to those discovering synthesisers for the first time, the afternoon offers an opportunity to experience electronic music in a setting where sharing knowledge and making connections are just as important as the performances themselves.

With another varied line-up of artists, interactive demonstrations, and spontaneous collaborative sessions planned, Miami Synth Meet looks set to offer an afternoon filled with musical exploration and unexpected creative moments. Whether attendees are looking to discover new sounds, meet fellow musicians, or simply enjoy live electronic music, the October 10 event promises to celebrate the people and shared passion that continue to bring this growing community together.
