Hilary Roberts has released her new three-track EP, “Never Too Late”, offering three different interpretations of the empowering song alongside a brand-new official music video. Available across digital streaming and downloading platforms, the EP revisits the track through its original version, an energetic VIP Mix and the more intimate Candlelight Mix, giving listeners the opportunity to experience its message of hope, resilience and fresh beginnings in contrasting ways. This acts as the follow-up to the single releases of the versions on the EP and the single “Oooh”.

At the heart of the release is “Never Too Late (Candlelight Mix)”, which takes a more stripped-back approach to the song’s production while still keeping it solidly within the dance genre. Warm piano, delicate acoustic instrumentation and Hilary Roberts’ emotive vocals create an intimate atmosphere, allowing the words and sentiment behind the track to become the main focus. Rather than relying on a large-scale production, this version gives the song room to breathe, making its themes of healing, self-belief and transformation feel particularly personal.

Hilary Roberts has described the Candlelight Mix as her favourite version on the EP, explaining, “My favorite version on the EP is the Candlelight Mix because it carries the confidence and intention of the song while still feeling calm and reflective. The stripped-back arrangement allows the vocals and message to come through in a more personal way, and I love how emotionally honest it feels.”
That emotional intimacy is carried into the accompanying music video, directed by Alexis Mendez and produced by Damon Sharpe, which provides a cinematic visual interpretation of the Candlelight Mix. Elegant interiors, deep blue tones, and symbolic imagery create a sophisticated setting as Hilary Roberts moves between quieter moments of reflection and scenes that convey a growing sense of confidence. The visual presentation complements the song’s themes of self-discovery and renewal, with the editing particularly well done throughout. The sand timer scene, for example, links perfectly with the lyrics about time, creating a fitting visual representation of the song’s message about finding strength and embracing new beginnings.
While the Candlelight Mix brings the song closer to its emotional core, the EP’s VIP Mix takes the track in a completely different direction. Built around a more vibrant, dance-focused production, the remix transforms “Never Too Late” into a celebratory moment designed to encourage listeners to let go, enjoy themselves, and embrace what comes next.
“The VIP Mix makes me want to get up and dance,” Hilary Roberts adds. “I love that we now have a version DJs can play in clubs that gives people a reason to celebrate life and remember that dreams don’t have an age limit.”

The three-track collection therefore creates an interesting contrast, with each version highlighting a different side of the same central message. The original “Never Too Late” establishes the foundation, the VIP Mix brings a more energetic, dancefloor-ready feel, while the Candlelight Mix strips back the production without losing its strong dance foundation, creating a more intimate and emotionally reflective interpretation.

Co-written by Hilary Roberts, Justin Tranter, Damon Sharpe, and Taoufik Korriche, whilst it was produced by Sharpe, “Never Too Late” carries a message that is closely connected to Hilary Roberts’ own experiences. The song was originally released in June and draws inspiration from her journey through recovery, resilience, and reinvention, reinforcing the idea that changing direction, pursuing a long-held ambition, or beginning again is not restricted by age or circumstance.
Hilary Roberts’ story adds considerable weight to that message. Having survived childhood trauma and addiction, she began her full recovery journey in 1997 and has remained sober ever since. Her experiences have also included overcoming a rare congenital heart defect as well as losing and rebuilding her voice following open-heart surgery, further shaping the perspective that runs through her music.
Alongside her work as a singer and songwriter, Hilary Roberts is also a philanthropist and recovery advocate. She founded the Red Songbird Foundation, a nonprofit organisation supporting survivors of sexual, physical, and verbal abuse by helping provide access to counselling, treatment, and support groups. Her personal experiences have therefore extended beyond her music, becoming part of a wider commitment to helping others find hope and support.

Musically, Hilary Roberts has built an independent career that includes the Billboard Dance Club Chart success of her debut single “There For You”, which reached Number 10, as well as her Number 1-charting cover of “Back to Life”. Tracks including “Fight to the Other Side” and “Good Man” have further established the emotional depth that she brings to her work.
With “Never Too Late”, Hilary Roberts brings together three distinct takes on the same song, from the original release to the more energetic VIP Mix and the stripped-back Candlelight Mix that retains its dance foundations. Accompanied by a visually striking new video for the Candlelight Mix, the EP gives the song’s empowering message room to connect through both its production and visual storytelling, while showcasing the different ways Hilary Roberts can approach the same material.
“Never Too Late”, by Hilary Roberts, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via Red Songbird.
