The band premiered the live rendition on YouTube as a preview of their “RADWIMPS 20th ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR” concert, which was filmed at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena on December 27, 2025 and later released globally on Netflix on June 20. The show captures the scale of their milestone year, featuring a 21-song setlist that blends recent tracks with long-time fan favourites.

The live performance of “Tamamono” highlights RADWIMPS’ dynamic stage presence, shifting between softer, more restrained moments and bursts of high-energy intensity. Yojiro Noda’s vocals remain precise and commanding throughout, carrying the track with ease and drawing a strong response from the audience, while Yusuke Takeda’s bass performance adds a steady, driving presence to the arrangement. The band also build a clear sense of connection with the crowd, with sections of the song handed over for audience participation, turning the performance into a shared moment that celebrates both the song itself and the fans experiencing it live.

The anniversary tour itself proved to be a significant achievement, with RADWIMPS travelling across nine major cities in Japan and delivering 17 sold-out arena shows. The setlist was carefully curated to reflect their two-decade journey, blending newer tracks such as “MAAFAKA”, “Tamamono”, and “Hitsu Zetsu” from their latest album “Anew” with well-known hits including “Sparkle”, “Tummy”, and “Iindesuka?”

One of the most memorable highlights of the Tokyo performance came during the encore, when drummer Satoshi Yamaguchi made a surprise appearance despite currently being on hiatus. Rejoining the band on stage, he performed their major-label debut single, “25kome No Senshokutai”, creating a standout moment that resonated strongly with fans in attendance.

Further extending the celebration, RADWIMPS will release the anniversary concert on Blu-ray and DVD on August 12, 2026. The physical edition will feature exclusive bonus footage from three consecutive shows at Yokohama Arena on November 22–24, including rare collaborations with guest acts BUMP OF CHICKEN, Vaundy, and YOASOBI. Additional content will also include two tracks from “Anew”—“How should I” and “Echo in the Ruins”—recorded separately during the Nagano and Nagoya shows, respectively, and not featured in the Ariake Arena performance.

International fans will soon be able to pre-order the release through the band’s official overseas store, with further details expected in the coming weeks.

Formed in 2001, RADWIMPS have built a reputation as one of Japan’s most influential rock acts, achieving widespread recognition both domestically and internationally. Their career includes nine studio albums and a series of critically acclaimed film scores for director Makoto Shinkai’s hit animated features Your Name., Weathering with You, and Suzume, all of which earned the band Best Original Score honours at the Japanese Academy Awards.

The band—comprising Yojiro Noda and Yusuke Takeda, with Satoshi Yamaguchi currently on hiatus—continue to evolve creatively. In 2025, they celebrated their 20th major-label debut anniversary with the release of their chart-topping album “Anew”, alongside the tribute album “Dear Jubilee -RADWIMPS TRIBUTE-“, which saw a range of prominent Japanese artists reinterpret their most iconic songs.

With the release of the “Tamamono” live performance and the global availability of their anniversary concert, RADWIMPS offer fans a powerful look back at their journey so far—while continuing to build momentum for the next chapter of their career.
