Tina Halma has unveiled a new creative chapter with the release of her bilingual double single, “Gaslight” and “Presente”, now available across all major digital platforms. The project highlights her genre-blending style and marks the beginning of a wider rollout, with additional singles planned in the same bilingual format in the coming months.

Bringing together English and Spanish releases, the concept reflects Tina Halma’s intention to connect with a broader global audience while embracing her multicultural influences. The two tracks sit under a wide sonic umbrella that draws from electronica, Latin pop, synthpop, alternative pop, EDM, trap, electropop, electronic R&B, and neo-soul, reinforcing her position as an artist unafraid to move between styles and moods.

A personal and emotional foundation in “Presente”

At the heart of the release is “Presente”, a track that originated as an intimate piano composition before evolving into a more layered production. Written by Tina Halma, the song developed through collaboration with producer Auro Sónico (Jose Saavedra), with mixing and mastering completed by LaClaveenelRitmo (Angel Valenilla).

Describing the emotional weight behind the track, Tina Halma shared, “It’s a very emotional song on a personal level. For me, it represents emotional, psychological, and even spiritual healing. I believe in the transformative power of music, not only for myself but for others as well.”

The final version of “Presente” reflects that intention, evolving into a deeply expressive piece that centres healing and introspection at its core. The lyrics detail the difficulty of living in the present. Pulled between memories and an anxiety-inducing future, the words explore the slow process of healing from a wound and the recurring struggle to remain in the moment.

Empowerment and release in “Gaslight”

In contrast, “Gaslight” presents a more direct and outward-facing energy. Written, produced, and composed entirely by Tina Halma, the track explores themes of emotional release, empowerment, and self-awareness, while also incorporating moments of satire and reflection.

Speaking about the song, she explained, “It’s about letting it all out and channeling emotions in a positive way. There’s sarcasm and satire in it, but also growth. It’s about seeing the blessings hidden behind the trials.”

The track’s approach highlights a different side of her artistry, balancing vulnerability with strength and reinforcing the duality at the centre of this release strategy. The lyrics describe a psychologically abusive relationship from the abuser’s perspective. The narrator details tactics of manipulation, such as playing games and twisting narratives to control and exhaust their victim.

A bilingual rollout with a broader vision

“Gaslight” and “Presente” form the first part of an ongoing series, with Tina Halma set to continue releasing paired singles that explore the same bilingual concept. The approach underscores her interest in bridging languages and audiences, while maintaining a consistent artistic identity across both versions.

Visual AI-generated content supporting the releases is already available via her official YouTube channel, with further videos expected to follow as part of the wider campaign rollout.

A global background shaping her artistry

Tina Halma’s creative identity extends well beyond her music, shaped by an unusually global and multidisciplinary journey. Having spent a decade travelling the world on cruise ships as a global sailor, she was immersed in a wide range of cultures and environments, an experience that continues to feed into the emotional and sonic depth of her work today.

Alongside her artistic career, she has built a strong academic foundation, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management with a focus on Performing Arts, followed by a Master’s degree in Marketing. Outside of releasing music, she is also exploring other creative and analytical pursuits, including writing, visual arts, and an ongoing curiosity around sound frequencies and their potential impact on the mind and well-being.

Philanthropy and wider creative work

Tina Halma is also actively involved in philanthropic initiatives. She supports RUIDOSA, an organisation focused on empowering women working in music across Latin America, and contributes to Festi-Band, a foundation dedicated to supporting young people in the Dominican Republic through music education. She also supports PADELA, which works to assist stray animals in the Dominican Republic.

These commitments sit alongside her growing artistic output, adding further dimension to her public profile as a creator engaged with both music and community-driven work.

A developing artistic direction

With “Gaslight” and “Presente” now released, Tina Halma continues to shape a clear and evolving artistic identity built on bilingual storytelling, genre fluidity, and emotionally driven songwriting. With more singles, videos, and live performance announcements expected in the near future, this release signals the beginning of a wider creative rollout.
