Rebekah Snyder recorded “These Jeans” in Nashville last June, where the track became the first piece of music created for her upcoming album. Acting as an early introduction to the project, the single highlights the personal direction of the record, drawing on real-life experiences and exploring themes connected to resilience, family life, and the reflections that come with navigating different stages of adulthood.

Written by Rebekah Snyder and produced by Dean Miller, with mixing handled by Alex McCullough, the inspiration behind the song came during a rare evening out for Snyder. As a single mother of three, much of Snyder’s time is typically spent attending her children’s activities—from sports games to scouting events—rather than social outings. However, during a night at Nobu Malibu, an unexpected conversation sparked the idea for the track.

While wearing a pair of vintage jeans she had owned for decades, Rebekah Snyder was approached by a young woman who admired them and asked where they had come from. Realising the jeans had been part of her wardrobe for far longer than she first thought, Snyder jokingly replied that she had bought them “three kids ago” and “two husbands ago”. The lighthearted exchange prompted further reflection, as Snyder recognised that the jeans represented a completely different chapter of her life. Measuring time through lived experiences rather than years ultimately became the creative spark behind the song.

As the concept developed, the jeans became a symbol for the journey many people experience over time. Despite the years that had passed, the jeans still resonated with someone from a younger generation, highlighting how value and relevance do not disappear with age or experience, as well as how fashion trends constantly circle back around. For Snyder, the idea mirrored her own personal path, navigating difficult relationships, raising children, and enduring moments of uncertainty while continuing to move forward.

Through “These Jeans”, Rebekah Snyder reflects on the lessons gathered through life’s ups and downs, capturing both vulnerability and resilience. The song explores the quiet strength that can emerge from difficult circumstances and offers a message of encouragement, particularly for mothers who may feel defined by sacrifice or hardship.

The closing moments of the track pay tribute to the everyday realities of parenting—long days supporting children’s activities, helping with schoolwork, and dedicating constant energy to family life. Yet rather than framing these responsibilities as burdens, the song celebrates them as evidence of endurance and personal growth.

Layering heartfelt lyrics with confident delivery, Rebekah Snyder brings rich country-pop vocals to “These Jeans”, supported by an infectious rhythm and a fully realised, anthemic backing track. The recording also features a talented lineup of musicians, including Billy Nobel on piano, Justin Schipper on guitar, Evan Hutchings on drums, Troy Lancaster on guitar, Mike Rinne on bass guitar, and Pat McGrath on guitar. Through the song’s honest, story-driven approach, Snyder opens a window into her life, inviting listeners to connect with her experiences. That openness gives the track a relatable edge—after all, most people have a favourite pair of jeans that carries its own memories and, somehow, still looks good on us.

By blending storytelling with emotional honesty, “These Jeans” sets the stage for the themes that will define Rebekah Snyder’s upcoming album. The track highlights how life experience can deepen perspective rather than diminish it, exploring resilience, personal growth, and the quiet victories found in everyday moments. Through her songwriting, Snyder invites listeners to reflect on their own journeys, connecting her personal experiences—of motherhood, relationships, and perseverance—to universal emotions. In doing so, the song not only previews the tone of the full record but also underscores Snyder’s gift for turning life’s challenges into relatable, uplifting music.

Hailing from rural Pennsylvania, Rebekah Snyder draws on her alt-country and Appalachian roots to craft a sound that feels both timeless and personal. A single mother of three and a domestic violence survivor, she has navigated immense challenges with determination and strength. Beyond her work as a musician, she is also a certified flight instructor—a testament to her versatility and resilience. Snyder’s songs often give voice to those who feel overlooked or underestimated, while paying tribute to the strong women and veterans who shaped her family and her own journey. It’s this blend of lived experience and storytelling that gives her music its authenticity and emotional depth.

“These Jeans”, by Rebekah Snyder, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via RSB Project, with the official music video set to arrive on March 12.
