Los Angeles-based alt-rock duo Plastic Rhino are back and more fearless than ever with the release of their latest single, “TAKEITALL”. Fusing love, obsession, and sonic experimentation, this explosive track marks a bold new chapter for the band as they blur genre lines and dive deep into raw emotional storytelling. An accompanying music video was also released alongside the single. This acts as the follow-up to the collaboration with Fastride on the single “Call In the Night”.
With “TAKEITALL”, Plastic Rhino dive headfirst into the dark side of love, exploring how obsession can take a dangerous turn. The single delves into the thin, often perilous line between devotion and fixation. Speaking about the meaning behind the track, Atara Glazer — one-half of the duo — explains, “The music is about a relationship turning bad and almost… deadly. Love is a delicate balance between obsession and devotion. Sometimes the obsession turns to stalking turns to threats.” It’s a dark and emotionally charged reflection on how quickly passion can tip into something more sinister.
Sonically, the track stands out as one of the duo’s most daring yet. Plastic Rhino blend their signature industrial rock grit with pulsating EDM and dubstep elements, resulting in a sound that’s both modern and ferocious. Produced at Elite Recordings Los Angeles by Tom Chandler with additional production from Ron Geffen, “TAKEITALL” channels the intensity of acts like Bad Omens, Poppy, and Bring Me The Horizon, while maintaining Plastic Rhino’s unmistakable style. Addictively iconic, this new direction works brilliantly and is set to see this duo’s career skyrocket.

Complementing the single is an unexpected twist: an 80s-inspired Jazzercise-themed music video that injects humour and nostalgia into the release. Talking about the visual, the duo explains, “Our producer, Ron, realized the tempo fits perfectly with the old school Jazzercise competitions of the ’80s, so we decided to recreate that in a class. We wanted to have the costumes and for it to look and feel vintage, but give it a modern vibe in the vein of The Substance movie.”
Equal parts absurd, sexy, and satirical, the music video is impossible to look away from. It is a hilarious and chaotic visual that throws it back to Jane Fonda and Davina McCall-style workout classes, channelling a similar vibe to Eric Prydz’s “Call On Me”, but with an unapologetically provocative twist. Everything from the skimpy workout outfits to the exaggerated wigs and over-the-top character choices leans into satire, with the exercises themselves becoming increasingly sexually suggestive — think groin-grabbing, water spraying, and a whole lot of hip thrusting.
As the track shifts into its industrial rock segment, the video takes a much darker turn: the upbeat class spirals into chaos, with a furious coach pushing participants to breaking point and flashes of horror-themed violence creeping in. By the end, the mayhem settles, and the class draws to a close, leaving behind a video that’s as unforgettable as it is unhinged—a playful, risqué, and satirical masterpiece that matches Plastic Rhino’s boundary-pushing creativity.
The music video, directed by Ron Geffen, features a vibrant and eclectic cast, including Jasmine Day, Michael Johansson, Sara Gottschalk, Rebekah Cherniss, Celinda Chang, Lia Metz, and musician Michael St. Michaels. Also appearing are Stephanie Cicero, Molly Feinstein, Tom Chandler, and the duo themselves, Jack Glazer and Atara Glazer, each bringing their own flair to the chaotic, high-energy visuals.
Formed in 2013 by husband-and-wife team Atara Glazer and Jack Glazer, Plastic Rhino have consistently crafted music that refuses to be boxed in. From their earliest days, the pair have championed a no-rules approach to alternative hard rock, merging hard-hitting riffs with deeply personal themes ranging from empowerment and betrayal to freedom of expression and even horror. With every release, the duo has sharpened their edge and broadened their sound, gaining recognition for their willingness to explore new musical territories.
Plastic Rhino’s refusal to conform has earned them plenty of attention across the music scene. Their previous work has been highlighted by publications like LA Weekly, Earmilk, Wonderland Magazine, and Hollywood Life Magazine. They’ve also received airplay on international radio stations, including Sirius XM’s Little Steven’s Garage, and their track “Another Try” landed them a nomination for Best Metal/Rock Song at the 2023 HIMA Awards. Add to that multiple editorial playlist features and film festival recognition for their music videos, and it’s clear that Plastic Rhino are a force to be reckoned with.
“TAKEITALL”, by Plastic Rhino, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via Dark Side Records. The song and the music video are truly unforgettable. This not only makes a statement to all who watch it, but also devours their audience with the awesome genre-bending in more ways than one. We can’t wait to watch how their career soars this year.
