Two of the world’s dance powerhouses, INNA and Matoma, have joined forces on their high-energy new single, “Dream Out Loud”. Released just in time for the summer season, the track sees one of Romania’s leading female vocalists collaborate with one of Norway’s top DJs. It follows INNA’s recent collaboration with Florian Rus on “7 Días” and Matoma’s team-up with Jack Botts on “No Tomorrow”.

Written by Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu (INNA), Stuart Crichton, Tom Stræte Lagergren (Matoma), Mali-Koa Hood, and Leo Stannard, and produced by Matoma and Stuart Crichton, whilst it was recorded at Scotch Corner Studio, Sherman Oaks CA, “Dream Out Loud” leans into a dreamscape club sound. Blending deep house with elements of funk and techno, the track is built around INNA’s emotive vocal performance, resulting in a release primed for summer dancefloors and EDM festivals.
Lyrically, the song explores themes of romantic intimacy and shared resilience, focusing on living in the moment while navigating life’s ups and downs. This approach conveys a sense of positivity and free-spirited connection, reinforced by a recurring hook that carries a hopeful, atmospheric tone. Matoma’s production maintains a chilled club energy throughout, while INNA’s vocal delivery brings an added sense of sincerity to the song’s message.
Accompanying the single release is a music video that compiles recordings of live shows that INNA and Matoma have attended, from crowd shots to stage shots, all intercut with the occasional backstage video. The visuals emphasise the energy of live performance, reinforcing the track’s connection to festival and club environments.
Romanian artist INNA first rose to international prominence with her 2008 debut single “Hot”, which climbed charts across Europe and introduced her signature blend of dance, house, and pop. The track arrived during the rise of Romania’s “Popcorn” wave in the late 2000s and early 2010s, helping to establish her as one of the genre’s leading voices. She went on to achieve global success with follow-up hits including “Sun Is Up”, “Déjà Vu”, and “Cola Song”, while collaborating with artists such as J Balvin, Flo Rida, Daddy Yankee, and Pitbull.
In recent years, INNA has continued to evolve her sound, expanding her catalogue with Spanish-language releases such as the album “Yo”, while also reconnecting with her dance roots through projects including “Heartbreaker” and “Champagne Problems”. Her more recent chart success includes collaborations with Sean Paul on “Up”, R3HAB and SASH! on “Rock My Body”, and Kris Kross Amsterdam on “Queen of My Castle”. She also topped the Romanian airplay charts last year with “7 zile”, a collaboration with Florian Rus. Alongside her recording output, INNA launched her Echoes Tour last year, performing extensively across Europe before announcing additional expansive dates across Europe and the US through 2026.
Norwegian DJ and producer Matoma broke through globally with his tropical house remix of The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Old Thing Back”, which became a viral hit and multi-platinum success. He followed this with original tracks, including “False Alarm” featuring Becky Hill and “All Night” with The Vamps, helping to define the mid-2010s tropical house wave. Beyond streaming success, Matoma has performed at major festivals such as Coachella and Tomorrowland, and released albums including “Hakuna Matoma” and “One in a Million”, showcasing his ability to balance melodic production with mainstream appeal.
“Dream Out Loud” is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via Global Records and Concord Music Publishing.
