K-pop sensations TWICE have once again set the music scene ablaze with the release of their highly anticipated 13th mini album, “With YOU-th”. accompanied by a visually stunning music video for the title track “ONE SPARK”. This acts as the follow-up to their previously released single “I GOT YOU” which also appears on this mini album.
The K-pop group, under the wings of JYP Entertainment, Imperial, and Republic Records, dropped the album on February 23, 2024, across all digital and streaming platforms. The title, “With YOU-th”, is a clever play on words, symbolising the eternal “youth” shared between the nine members and their connection to their devoted fanbase, affectionately known as ONCE, over the past nine years, hence the word, “you”.
The six-track album delves into the universal themes of love, friendship, and sisterhood, capturing the essence of youth. Showcasing their musical adaptability TWICE offers a lively and ethereal encounter with “ONE SPARK”, a genuine and understated allure in “RUSH”, lively electro-pop dance beats in “NEW NEW”, R&B undertones echoing through “BLOOM”, a mid-tempo pop expedition with “YOU GET ME”, and the previously unveiled single “I GOT YOU“.
The flawless music video for “ONE SPARK” that accompanies the release of this album just continues to showcase their incredible stage presence. Created by the production company Flipevil, we watch the nine-piece girl group bat out sublime choreography faultlessly while bringing a birthday scene by connecting the candles to the spark of the theme of the song and gorgeous background visuals that just heighten the conceptual visualisation. We especially loved the elevator transitions as well as the iconic bridge scene at the end.
TWICE’s influence continues to soar as they gear up for a one-night-only encore performance of their 5th World Tour “READY TO BE” in the United States, titled “READY TO BE ONCE MORE”, scheduled for March 16, 2024, at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
