Written by Melissa Leite dos Santos (CERES), Artem Stolyarov (ARTY), Giammarco Del Vecchio (Old Jim), and Laurent Carroll-Wilthien (LAWRENT), and produced by Old Jim, ARTY, and LAWRENT, “In My Head (Baby I’m Sorry)” is driven by high-energy dance beats that build in intensity, while the after-chorus drop delivers techno-inspired thrills that elevate the track’s overall atmosphere. Alexandra Stan delivers soaring upper-range vocals to match the addictive energy, showcasing fluid phrasing and harmonising seamlessly with CERES’ backing vocals as they come into play.

Lyrically, the artists capture a state of internal turmoil and romantic fixation, exploring feelings of panic, toxicity, and being paralysed by intrusive thoughts about a partner. Throughout the track, Alexandra Stan navigates an overwhelming mental preoccupation—being “in my head”—as she cycles through complex emotions and fixations surrounding the relationship, ultimately culminating in an apology for the chaotic nature of her headspace.

A lyric video was released alongside the track, featuring clips of a woman dancing, layered with a purple-toned sepia-like filter, while the lyrics appear in a bold, easy-to-read font. The visuals mirror the style and energy of the song, creating a sense of connection with the viewer while enhancing its dance-driven atmosphere.
