Two decades after first igniting global dancefloors, “Everytime We Touch” has been given a fresh, high-energy reboot. Steve Aoki has teamed up with Cascada to deliver a reimagined version of the Eurodance classic, pairing brand-new vocals with Aoki’s signature production for a release primed for 2025 audiences. This acts as the follow-up to Steve Aoki’s collaboration with Gabry Ponte on the single “Stewpid” and Cascada’s collaboration with YouNotUs on the single “Beautiful Odyssey”.

The new track fuses nostalgia with contemporary festival-ready sounds, marking the first time the two powerhouse names have collaborated on record. Cascada’s original 2005 version, itself inspired by Maggie Reilly’s 1992 song of the same name, became an international hit and an enduring anthem of the dance-pop era. Now, Steve Aoki’s update injects the song with his trademark drops, fast-paced builds, and arena-sized energy. The Cascada original has long been a staple on dance playlists around the world, and Aoki’s production pushes the song into new territory without losing the essence that made it iconic.

“‘Everytime We Touch’ was one of those songs that defined an era for dance music,” stated Steve Aoki. “It lit up dance floors and connected people all over the world. Putting my own spin on it is like revisiting that energy but blasting it into 2025 with the kind of drops and chaos I love to bring. It’s nostalgia, it’s euphoria, and it’s pure Aoki energy in one track.”
The collaboration had already generated huge anticipation over the summer as Steve Aoki brought Cascada out during his headline sets at BCM, Tomorrowland and Ushuaïa Ibiza. These live debuts of the track were met with massive crowds and viral attention on social media, with fan-recorded clips spreading across TikTok and Instagram.
Accompanying the single release is a high-energy music video directed by Film Tank, perfectly capturing the track’s 2025 club-ready spirit. The video opens with Cascada—now a solo project led by Natalie Horler—standing at the bow of a yacht, softly singing the slow opening lyrics of “Everytime We Touch” while Steve Aoki prepares below deck. As the beat builds, Aoki joins Horler on deck, as a group of people also appear, bringing that raver party style and mirroring the hands-up dance rhythms that drive the track. The visual then shifts to the pair performing at BCM Mallorca club, where Aoki and Cascada hurl cakes into the crowd—a nod to Aoki’s trademark festival antics—before returning to the yacht.

For the finale, the video intentionally transports viewers to Tomorrowland 2025 in Antwerp, Belgium, which carried the Orbyz theme. Two days before the festival opened, a fire damaged the mainstage; the organisers reconfigured the performance space with a DJ turntable in front of a massive LED wall, leaving the original stage’s scaffolding and construction equipment visible. The video follows Aoki and Horler backstage as they take in the damaged stage before their set, including Horler’s visible shock, then shifts to night-time performance footage filled with fireworks and a vibrant crowd, blending real-world drama with festival spectacle.

For Cascada, the new release represents more than nostalgia—it’s an opportunity to bring two decades of live performance experience back into the studio. Re-recording her vocals, Natalie Horler infuses the track with refreshed energy and added depth that reflects years of singing it on stages around the world. This process allows any artist to approach their work with greater precision and emotional insight, and this new version delivers just that, while also introducing the anthem to a new generation of listeners.
This latest release also continues Steve Aoki’s reputation as one of electronic music’s most prolific and boundary-pushing artists. With billions of streams, countless festival appearances, and collaborations ranging from BTS to Linkin Park, he remains a major force in global dance music. His Dim Mak label, which has launched acts like The Chainsmokers and Zedd, also celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021.

Together, Steve Aoki and Cascada’s 2025 version of “Everytime We Touch” stands as both a tribute to the past and a statement for the future, blending Eurodance nostalgia with contemporary EDM power. It’s a crossover moment designed to resonate with longtime fans while sparking a fresh wave of club and festival anthems worldwide.
