We Three, the talented Oregon alt-pop trio, is set to ignite the indie world with their latest release, “Dancing In The Dark”. The new single, characterised by its flirty, funky vibe and seductive soulful sound, is already creating a buzz in the music scene. This new release acts as the follow-up to their previous single “Six Feet Deep”.
Following their fourth album, “Love Me”, which dropped earlier this summer, the Humlie sibling trio – Manny (vocals, guitar), Bethany (bass), and Joshua (drums) – has continued to push the boundaries of their musical journey. “Love Me” showcased their raw, heartfelt, and impactful work, featuring powerful messages in each track.
Written by the band, themselves, with Manny Humlie producing the track, “Dancing In The Dark” is an indie-pop song with rock and disco influences running throughout. Manny brings his sultry indie rock vocals that absolutely send chills to the listener but also put them at ease, while the bass and the drums, from Bethany and Joshua, completely level the track.
Overproduced but in a brilliant way, We Three set the new standard when it comes to indie-pop, and they’re totally paving the way with their incredibly versatile sound. The song was dropped last Friday – right on time for Halloween – and they touch upon spooky villains, haunting figures, and sinister items within the lyrics while keeping to an incredible narrative of not turning the lights on because he has two left feet and can’t dance – but in the dark, he can be the best dancer around, and he just wants to dance with his partner; but as a good dancer.
