A question we’ve probably asked ourselves half a dozen times in our lifetime, Loreen takes it and runs with it in the incredible new single “Is It Love”. Her artistry has always been next level and once again she has shown that she’s on top form and the world is ready to receive her superb art. The release of this track acts as the follow-up to the Topic remix of her Eurovision 2023-winning single “Tattoo”.
Written by Dag Lundberg, Karl Ivert, Kian Sang, Loreen Talhaoui, Maia Wright, and Rami Yacoub, whilst it has been produced by the latter song-writer, “Is It Love” is one powerful and emotional song that Loreen delivers with such passion and integrity. Not one to disappoint after Eurovision, Loreen once again impresses – she did it way back in 2012 when she released “Crying Out Your Name”, and here she is again with another brilliant track. It’s undeniable how incredible she is both vocally and artistically.

The track starts off with an acoustic guitar mixed around conceptual horns bringing a beautiful melody to which Loreen overlays her vocals matching the pace. As the track progresses, so does she, bringing impassioned vocals as she goes on a journey of discovery through her lyrics, working out if what she’s feeling is love. A complete professional throughout, Loreen flows through various ranges, hitting her awesome falsetto before falling down into her lower registry. In doing so, you can feel her heart and soul in the entirety of the song.
Addictive from start to finish, “Is It Love” is the track we can’t get enough of, especially with that infectious chorus that just hits different – there’s so much feeling in those words that it touches our hearts deep inside. Since winning Eurovision 2012 with “Euphoria”, we’ve believed Loreen to be a superstar and have followed her career ever since; now that she’s won the contest a second time, with 2023’s “Tattoo”, is the world ready for this phenomenal singer-songwriter to take centre stage? We believe so and “Is It Love” is a testament to her star power.

Next month will see Loreen take off on a European tour, with Olivia Lunny being the support act. She will start off in Dublin, Ireland on November 7, 2023, going on to perform in Glasgow, UK on November 8, 2023, and then London, UK on November 10, 2023 – the show that we will be in attendance at (so expect a gig review from us). She’ll then tour extensively across Europe hitting countries such as Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Noway, Finland, and of course her home country of Sweden, amongst many more.
