Louisville-born rap sensation Jack Harlow has notched a significant milestone in his career as his latest single, “Lovin On Me”, takes the coveted top spot on the UK Official Singles Chart.

The infectious rap-pop fusion, cleverly weaving in elements from the 1995 R&B gem “Whatever” by Cadillac Dale, has struck a chord with listeners, amassing a staggering 5.1 million streams and emerging as the week’s most-streamed track in the UK.

This marks the first UK Number 1 for the immensely talented rapper, who has previously made waves with three Top 10 hits: “Industry Baby” alongside Lil Nas X which hit Number 3, “First Class” which managed to peak at Number 2, and “3D” featuring Jung Kook which peaked at Number 5.

In a strong display of musical diversity, Dua Lipa makes an impressive entrance at Number 2 with “Houdini”, an electrifying ’70s psychedelia-infused anthem, serving as the lead single from her highly anticipated third studio album. This accomplishment marks her 14th UK Top 10 hit, further solidifying her standing in the industry.

Maintaining a formidable presence on the charts, “Prada” by Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe secures the third spot, while Tate McRae’s “Greedy” holds steady at Number 4.

The ascent continues for Noah Kahan, whose track “Stick Season” rises three places to achieve a new peak at Number 5, accompanied by the emergence of “Northern Attitude” at Number 16, marking a significant dual success for the Vermont-born singer-songwriter.

Celebrations abound for the groundbreaking drum & bass duo Chase & Status, etching their names in history by becoming the first group since 2010 to concurrently secure four UK Top 40 singles. Their multifaceted talent shines through in hits like “Baddadan” in collaboration with Bou and featuring Irah, Flowdan, Trigga, and Takura which hits Number 10; “Liquor and Cigarettes” in collaboration with Hedex featuring ArrDee which is at Number 17; “Selecta” featuring Stefflon Don which is new at Number 27; and “Disconnect” in collaboration with Becky Hill which falls to Number 37, showcasing their undeniable musical prowess.

Chase & Status’ charting prowess is down to the release of their latest Mixtape “2 Ruff Vol. 1” which charted on the UK Official Albums Chart at Number 4.

With the festive spirit looming, perennial Christmas favourites by Wham! and Mariah Carey experience a continued resurgence, with “Last Christmas” climbing to Number 26 and “All I Want for Christmas Is You” ascending to Number 28.

In an unexpected turn, Wheatus’s iconic 2000 anthem “Teenage Dirtbag” stages a comeback, soaring to Number 34 amid a resurgence fueled by social media acclaim, coinciding with the band’s triumphant conclusion of a whopping 47-date UK Tour.

The music scene continues to captivate and surprise, with new heights achieved, classics revisited, and artists leaving an indelible mark on the charts, painting a vibrant picture of the ever-evolving musical landscape. As Christmas looms closer, we expect to see Christmas classics and some brand-new festive bangers flood into the UK Official Singles Charts.
