Ben Haenow, the platinum-selling artist and former winner of The X Factor, has once again graced Double J Music’s “Café Covers” series with his mesmerising talent, this time reinterpreting the Commodores’ timeless hit, “Easy”, retitling it to “Easy (Like Sunday Morning)”. The acoustic rendition, recorded exclusively for the upcoming “Café Covers, Vol. 3”, captures the essence of the original while infusing Haenow’s unique touch.

Within this acoustic rendition, Haenow skillfully places his unmatched vocals at the forefront, creating a tranquil listening journey that seamlessly resonates with the laid-back essence of the original. In crafting this soulful reinterpretation, Haenow not only honours the classic with respect but also skillfully introduces contemporary energy, infusing the timeless hit with a vibrant and modern essence.

His iconic gritty soulful vocals pair charmingly with the strum of the guitar, defining acoustic in every sense of the word. Laid-back and chilled, this exposes his faultless vocals as he impresses with flawless vocal runs and emotional belief in the words. Once again, Haenow delivers on a whole other level, sending chills to every single listener while bringing an easygoing vibe. This intimate acoustic cover feels effortless as well as easy, transporting listeners to a laid-back Sunday morning that we just want to chill out and live in. This deserves to be on all our relaxing playlists.

Haenow’s brother, Alex, contributed to the track by laying down the guitar, creating a harmonious blend that stays true to the original while adding a refreshing touch.

It’s always a pleasure to feature on the ‘Café Covers’ albums alongside all of the other incredible artists. The vibe is always cool and the Double J Music guys are always a dream to work with.

Chilled acoustic covers are a favourite of mine and I love having a chance to put a more laid-back feel on classic or contemporary songs. This time around it’s ‘Easy’ by Commodores which lyrically really lends itself to a more relaxed feel. My brother Alex laid down the guitar for the track. We’re both big fans of the original and it’s such a classic that we didn’t feel the need to change anything up too much, so have kept it pretty true to the original. Sometimes less is more.
