Making this year her own, Alexandra Stan is creating huge waves in the music industry and she’s shining bright with the release of the music video to “Băieții“! We had a feeling that a music video drop would be on its way following the release of the single, but we weren’t prepared for this performance-based, live show, fan-appreciation music video.
That’s right, instead of the baseball narrative or performance-themed music video we were expecting—due to the single cover artwork—we watch this Romanian superstar perform this addicting track on a stage in a club as her fans crowd around her, singing along to every single note.
This is a different style of video for this international singer-songwriter and something we’ve never seen from her in a visual to date. Bringing an experience like no other, we watch Stan start in a car as she arrives at the venue. She then walks backstage with a baseball bat—linking to the awesome single cover artwork. She soon arrives on stage in this small but packed club, and sings “Băieții”—oh how we wish we were there!
The following scenes are shots of her fans in the audience, singing the song, Stan having a great time by the DJ decks showcasing how much she loves dance music and being in a club, some interactions with fans, and a slight performance-esque visual in the back of a car. This magnetic car scene ends the video as the car door closes and she gives a slight wave to the camera.
While this music video doesn’t have the gloss and the high-budget visuals, Stan proves that she doesn’t need all that when the song is a poetic masterpiece that is beyond beautiful. So, instead, we get a video that feels more targeted to her fans, thanking us all for following her every step and we’re sure the audience at this show was living every single minute and are ecstatic that they made it into an Alexandra Stan music video.
The visual was created with the help of Alexandru Muresan who acted as the Director of Photography while FRNK acted as the Second Camera Operator and Andra Marta acted as the Editor. Filmed at the “Băieții” release party at the Apollo 111 in Bucharest, Romania on March 15, 2024, the music video really gives off the excitement vibes and showcases how much Stan loves this song and how much her fans, who attended the show, loved this song—and, in turn, we love this song just as much.
Fun, down to earth, and more like a thank you to her fans, this music video may not have been what we expected for this song, but it’s got a special vibe to it that truly allows this song to shine even more so, making it better than any huge high-budgeted music video would’ve done.
