Bringing electronic music to the table before the year ends is PINES with the addictive new single titled “Take Me There”. Flowing through a rhythmic electronic landscape this has all the subtle sonic-inducing sounds that we all need in the run-up to the following year. This acts as the follow-up to their previous single, titled “Lost”.
Written and produced by Adam Charles Dormand and James Michael Kenneally, who are the duo that make up PINES, “Take Me There” really manages to transport the listener to an augmented dimension where emotions flow through cascading sounds that truly manage to transcend electronic music as a whole. PINES effortlessly showcase their flawless ability to craft beats into a rhythmic arrangement guaranteed to hit you deep inside.
The impactful electronic sound gets stripped back in the middle of the track for a strong, powerful, and influential vocal statement where a male voice states, “In a universe that’s 15 billion years old, we have no idea what significance of meaning our lives might have. There are so many beautiful things that we can take joy in and take comfort in and just revel in the beauty that surrounds us.”
The powerful statement really conveys the interesting melodies heard in the track as PINES flows us through a journey full of beauty, joy, and comfort. The various beats have a galactic feel to them as they combine to create a gorgeous instrumental that stays with us for the rest of the day, opening us up to our other senses as we see the surrounding world in a new light.
This track is the second song to be taken from the duo’s forthcoming sophomore album “Life As We Know It”, following the first single “Lost”. The album is set to drop on January 19, 2024, with a North American tour to support the full-length LP expected in February. The Australian powerhouse electronic duo, consisting of Adam Dormand and James Kenneally, hailing from Adelaide, have been going from strength to strength in the last few years, gaining over 25 million Spotify streams
Their collaboration with Akacia, titled “Half Way Home”, is currently their most-streamed track on Spotify at 6.1 million streams, while their most popular song on the platform, “I’ve Been Waiting” is just behind at 5.4 million streams.
