Electronic duo SOFI TUKKER have joined forces with global pop-rock band OneRepublic for “TSUNAMI”, bringing together two established acts for a new collaboration that combines dancefloor-ready production with an instantly memorable vocal hook. Released on September 25, 2026, “TSUNAMI” finds Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern working alongside OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, with the track built around a catchy melodic refrain, rhythmic bassline, and a playful chorus that gives the song its distinctive character. “TSUNAMI” Continues a Busy Year for SOFI TUKKER
The release adds another collaboration to an already busy 2026 for SOFI TUKKER, following their work with J Balvin on “COOK” earlier this year. They also returned during the summer with “Barthelona”, a track that became a regular part of their festival and DJ-set appearances before its official release.
“TSUNAMI” now introduces another dimension to their current run of music, pairing their electronic approach with the songwriting and pop sensibilities associated with OneRepublic. It also arrives while SOFI TUKKER are taking their music on the road as part of their ongoing “Animal Talk” headline tour across North America.
The tour has already taken the duo to major venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Their remaining dates include a performance at Pacha New York in Brooklyn on October 2, followed by appearances at Austin City Limits Music Festival across both of the festival’s weekends.

SOFI TUKKER Continue Expanding the “Animal Talk” World
Music isn’t the only area where SOFI TUKKER are expanding their creative work this autumn. The duo have also teamed up with Gibson for a special collection of eight one-of-one custom Flying V guitars created with Sophie Hawley-Weld.
The instruments are being unveiled individually throughout the “Animal Talk” tour, building on the guitar’s established place within Sophie Hawley-Weld’s live identity. Following the tour, some of the guitars are expected to be auctioned in support of Gibson Gives, which supports initiatives focused on music education and wellness.
SOFI TUKKER are also part of Champion’s global FW26 “True Champion” campaign, adding another creative partnership to an increasingly busy period for the duo.
OneRepublic Bring Their Pop-Rock Roots to “TSUNAMI”
OneRepublic have spent almost two decades moving between pop, rock, electronic music, and contemporary songwriting, establishing themselves as one of the most recognisable bands of their generation. Fronted by Ryan Tedder, the group broke through internationally with “Apologize” before going on to deliver major hits including “Counting Stars”, “Good Life”, and “I Ain’t Worried”.
