Global girl group GIRLSET have served the world with some incredible new music, unveiling their latest single “TWEAK”, which arrived on March 6 through JYP Entertainment and Universal Records. The release marks the group’s first new track of 2026 and continues to build on the momentum they generated with their recent string of high-energy pop releases. This officially acts as the follow-up to their previous single, “Little Miss (Misdemeanor)” in collaboration with Missy Elliott.

The track also features a special piano contribution from South Korean artist J.Y. Park, a well-known figure within the global pop industry and the founder of JYP Entertainment. His involvement adds another notable creative element to the production, blending his musical touch with GIRLSET’s signature sound. Comprised of members Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savanna, GIRLSET have been steadily carving out their place in the international pop landscape. “TWEAK” continues to spotlight the group’s confident approach to performance, pairing polished pop production with the dynamic energy that has become central to their identity as a quartet.

The track was composed and written by J.Y. Park—credited as J.Y. Park “The Asiansoul”—alongside Diego Avendano, Nathan DiRocco, Olufeyikemi O. Osuntokun, and Brian Alexander Morgan, bringing together a range of musical perspectives that shape the song’s structure and lyrical direction. Production on the single comes from J.Y. Park and Diego Ave, with additional musical contributions including string arrangements by Larry Gold and keyboard work from Matthew Hines. The recording process was handled by engineers Kevin Brunhober and Sean Phelan, while Phil Tan oversaw mixing duties with additional engineering support from Bill Zimmerman. The final stage of the track’s sonic polish was completed by mastering engineer Chris Gehringer, helping bring the finished version of “TWEAK” to listeners.

The track highlights their vocal strengths while weaving in touches of R&B, blending honest lyrics with emotionally driven delivery. Throughout the song, the members harmonise seamlessly, emphasising their connection with one another—a chemistry that carries through to listeners. That sense of unity also underpins the narrative of the lyrics, which capture the narrator’s frustration with a partner’s draining behaviour and mind games, before shifting towards a declaration of self-control and a warning that their patience is wearing thin.

Alongside the single, the group also released an official music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis. Known for her work with artists including Ariana Grande, Tate McRae, Charli XCX, and BLACKPINK, Hannah Lux Davis brings her distinctive visual style to the project. The video highlights striking choreography and vibrant visuals while giving each member a chance to showcase their individual flair, ultimately reinforcing the group’s unified presence.

As expected, the group deliver tightly executed choreography throughout the video, reflecting the rigorous K-pop training system they experienced on the YouTube reality competition series A2K. The visual direction leans into a bold, hyper-colour palette that immediately grabs attention, blending vibrant pop aesthetics with polished, cinematic presentation.

Between the performance sequences, the video introduces a subtle narrative centred on Savanna and an on-screen love interest during an awkward dinner date. While sitting at the table together, he repeatedly ignores her by scrolling on his phone, casually eating with his hands, and continuing to order more food. Eventually, Savanna leaves the situation behind and joins her fellow GIRLSET members instead. The final moment returns to the table, where the date is left sitting alone, shaking his head as he realises she has walked away.

Since the release of the official music video, GIRLSET have also unveiled two additional videos that continue supporting the single while highlighting different sides of the group. The first, released on March 7 and titled “Performance Video”, sees the quartet performing in front of an American diner named “Drive In”, illuminated with blue and pink neon lighting. Throughout the clip, the members deliver the choreography from start to finish, combining tightly synchronised sections with moments that allow each performer to stand out individually.

The following day brought a second visual titled “Girls Night Out”. This version shifts the focus away from performance and instead captures the group spending time together inside the diner, whether gathered around the bar, sitting in a booth, or casually singing along to the track. The more relaxed setting emphasises their chemistry as a group while echoing the song’s themes of frustration with unreliable partners.

“TWEAK” follows GIRLSET’s November release “Little Miss”, which arrived with its own music video and has since amassed more than 22 million views online. The track also gained renewed attention after a version featuring Missy Elliott—titled “Little Miss (Misdemeanor)”—circulated widely among fans and listeners.

Together, these recent releases point to a period of rapid growth for GIRLSET as they continue expanding their catalogue and audience. With “TWEAK” now available across streaming platforms and a visually striking music video to accompany it, the group appears poised to keep building momentum as they move further into 2026.

“TWEAK”, by GIRLSET, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via JYP Entertainment, distributed by Republic Records, a division of UMG Recordings.
