Global superstar Joe Jonas has made a splash with the release of his new single, “Work It Out”, this week. This track marks Jonas’ return to the solo scene with his first new solo music in 13 years, paving the way for his forthcoming album, “Music For People Who Believe In Love”, scheduled for release on October 18, 2024. This officially follows up his 2022 collaboration with Khalid on “Not Alone” which was a part of the soundtrack to the biographical war film, released the same year, “Devotion”.

Written by Jason Evigan, Bianca Atterberry, Joe Jonas, Kane Ritchotte, and Victoria Evigan, whilst Jason Evigan and Kane Ritchotte also acted as the producers, “Work It Out” is an infectious pop anthem that features bright acoustic guitar, driving drums, and dynamic vocals. The chorus, with its catchy and motivational lyrics, promises to uplift listeners and inspire us all to keep our heads up no matter what’s trying to drag us down. Easily empowering us all, Jonas showcases his heart and his spirit with this incredible release.

While we’re used to Joe Jonas being in this rock-pop world, considering his previous releases as well as his time as part of the Jonas Brothers and DNCE, this track explores a more heavier production side as guitar chords and drum beats are spotlighted majorly throughout, while Jonas’ silky voice matches the intensity of the track, taking it to a whole other level.

This is Jonas coming full-on right out of the gate and we are living for every second of it. If this track is just a prelude to what’s to come, then his forthcoming official sophomore solo studio album is set to floor us all—in a good way!

Talking about the new release, Jonas stated: “‘‘Work It Out’ is a personal anthem for when I have intrusive or ruminating thoughts; to help break their spell and bring me back to living in the present. It’s only human to experience uncomfortable feelings; no one is 100% happy all the time. This is a song about getting out of your head and back to the person you really are.”

Jonas has been ramping up excitement for “Work It Out” with various promotional efforts over the past month. He recently discussed the song on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, where he gave fans an exclusive first listen to the track’s chorus. Additionally, he has appeared on the Track Star Show and collaborated with visual artist Devon Rodriguez. The single also made its live debut at the Jonas Brothers’ Calgary Stampede show over the weekend.

Fans can look forward to more from Jonas as he continues to build anticipation for “Music For People Who Believe In Love”, set to release later this year. The single is out now, and it’s clear that Jonas is back with a message of empowerment and self-discovery. We finally have this Jonas Brother releasing his sophomore solo album, following on from his 2011 debut, “Fastlife”.
