In a triumphant second week, Taylor Swift maintains her reign at the summit of the UK Official Albums Chart with “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”, successfully fending off challenges from Oasis and Jung Kook. This comes after debuting at the top spot last week.

Oasis’s resurgence is notable as “The Masterplan” re-enters the chart at Number 2, thanks to a 25th-anniversary remaster. This edition matches its original peak in 1998, securing the title of the most physically purchased collection of the week. Furthermore, it secured the top spot on both the UK Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the UK Official Record Store Chart, cementing its status as the most sought-after LP in Britain’s independent record stores.

Making waves in the charts, BTS sensation Jung Kook debuts impressively at Number 3 with his inaugural solo album, “Golden”. The album features a string of Top 10 singles, including “Seven” with Latto, “3D” with Jack Harlow, and the latest addition, “Standing Next To You“. Notably, “Golden” stands out as the highest-peaking album for both a BTS member and a Korean soloist.

Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones experienced a slight descent, dropping to Number 4 with “Hackney Diamonds” after holding the third spot last week, and prior to that, the album peaked at the number 1 spot, the week before.

Adding a touch of nostalgia to the charts, British music icon Cliff Richard achieves his 48th career Top 10 album in the UK with “Cliff With Strings – My Kinda Life”, securing the fifth position.

Taylor Swift’s ability to maintain her chart-topping position against such formidable competition is a testament to the enduring popularity of “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”. As the musical landscape evolves, Swift’s continued success showcases the unwavering connection she maintains with her audience, can she make it a third week atop the UK Official Albums Chart?
