As the winter season continues, so does the stick season, as Noah Kahan continues to dominate the UK Official Singles Chart, marking his sixth consecutive week at Number 1 with the chart-topping “Stick Season”.

This consecutive week at the top makes “Stick Season” the longest consecutive Number 1 run since Dave & Central Cee’s “Sprinter” last summer. The track maintains its stronghold as the most-streamed song in the country, accumulating an impressive 8.3 million streams throughout the week.

While Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Murder on the Dancefloor” remains a formidable contender at Number 2, Noah Kahan’s reign shows no signs of waning. Teddy Swims and Jack Harlow also maintain their positions at Numbers 3 and 4 with “Lose Control” and “Lovin on Me”, respectively.

In this week’s notable developments, two rising stars secure their debut UK Top 10 singles, signalling their potential as ones to watch in the coming year.

Benson Boone, the talented US singer-songwriter, sees his track “Beautiful Things” climb to Number 5 after three weeks on the chart, marking his second UK Top 40 entry following 2022’s “In The Stars”, which peaked at Number 21.

Another impressive newcomer is YG Marley, whose “Praise Jah In The Moonlight” leaps an astounding 11 places to claim the 9th spot. The grandson of the legendary Bob Marley, YG Marley self-released his debut single, motivated by the experience of performing the song alongside his mother, Lauryn Hill, during her concerts, YG Marley ventured into the music scene with confidence and conviction.

Maintaining their positions in the Top 10 are “Prada” by cassö, RAYE & D-Block Europe at Number 6, Ariana Grande’s “yes, and?” slipping to Number 7, Tate McRae’s “greedy” falling to Number 8, and Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” rounding out the list at Number 10.

Noah Kahan’s remarkable reign atop the charts continues, leaving music fans eager to see if the season of the sticks will ever come to an end. As the UK Official Singles Chart unfolds, the music landscape remains dynamic and full of surprises.
