Written by Gabe Yaron, Magnus Ferrell, and Savan Kotecha, whilst Yaron acted as producer, “Ain’t The Feeling” tells the story of encouraging someone to leave behind an unhealthy relationship, built around a cinematic piano melody, and a charming falsetto that mesmerises every single listener. With lyrics urging a lover to “say goodbye” and “let it go”, the track blends emotional honesty with pop accessibility, highlighting Magnus Ferrell’s skill for fusing classic sensibilities with a modern edge.

With flawless vocals from start to finish and a sensational falsetto-led chorus, Magnus Ferrell continues to prove his versatility as a singer-songwriter. Very few artists can not only hit those high notes but sustain them across an entire chorus filled with layers, rhythm, and addictive energy. This puts him in the same league as icons like Freddie Mercury, Mika, Jimin, Prince, Adam Lambert, Jake Shears, and Charlie Puth. Blending a nostalgic ’80s-inspired beat with modern production, “Ain’t The Feeling” pulses with fresh energy. The mid-bridge breakdown is a superb addition, and the track’s replayable quality makes it a must-listen.

Accompanying the single is a playful music video that takes the concept of Blind Date and cranks it up a notch, blending it with elements of the Got Talent franchise (America’s Got Talent / Britain’s Got Talent). Viewers are introduced to three potential dates—Milton, Rico, and Chris—with Magnus Ferrell stepping into the host role while the bachelorette, Vanessa, asks the questions. As the video unfolds, it becomes clear she’s unimpressed with her options—which isn’t surprising, given the host himself is delivering the track with all the suaveness and charisma the song demands.

When the mid-bridge hits, Magnus Ferrell takes his suavity to the next level, offering Vanessa his hand as they begin to dance together. A lower-third title flashes, “Magnus & Vanessa | The Winners”, setting the tone for the rest of the video as they bid farewell to each of the other contestants in playful ways. The final scene showers the pair in silver confetti as they pose together, bringing the narrative full circle. Intercut throughout are performance shots of Ferrell delivering the track with commanding stage presence and undeniable charm, reinforcing the energy of the single.

This release follows a strong run of releases from the 21-year-old singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His 2024 single “Life or Death” passed one million streams, while his breakout hit “Miss Me Vendetta” gained over half a million streams and received praise from outlets such as Atwood Magazine, who compared his sound to early Bruno Mars and Grouplove for its blend of timeless and contemporary pop.

Born and raised in Los Angeles and hugely known as the firstborn son of Will Ferrell, Magnus Ferrell has music in his DNA. His grandfather performed saxophone and keys for The Righteous Brothers, inspiring him to begin piano lessons at five years old. By his teens, he had immersed himself in jazz influences such as Bill Evans, Miles Davis, and Oscar Peterson, later expanding into artists like Bruno Major, Mac Ayres, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. This eclectic background shapes his distinctive style—one that’s equally at home in a festival crowd or an intimate club setting.

Over the past few years, Magnus Ferrell has built a catalogue of stand-out tracks, including “Drinks On Me”, “Missed Your Chance”, and “Slow Down” (in collaboration with Deacon) for the soundtrack of You’re Cordially Invited, which starred his father, Will Ferrell, alongside Reese Witherspoon. His debut EP, “Hasn’t Even Started”, on Republic Records introduced listeners to a slick, confident pop sound that blends nostalgia with forward-thinking production; the singles of which are still available across download and streaming services, but the EP itself has been removed.

With “Ain’t The Feeling”, Magnus Ferrell continues to push his artistry forward, combining heartfelt songwriting, polished production, and an undeniable charisma. As his audience grows and anticipation builds for future projects, this latest release fully sees him make his mark, truly putting his stamp on contemporary music and certainly making him one of the most exciting pop artists heading into 2026.

“Ain’t The Feeling”, by Magnus Ferrell, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via Visva Records and Republic Records.
