Built around delicate piano melodies, subtle beats, and atmospheric guitar tones, “Missin’ Me” sees Hannah McFarland exploring the lingering uncertainty of whether the other person still thinks about them once they’ve moved on. Through its introspective lyrics and slow-burning arrangement, the song captures the complicated mix of jealousy, curiosity, and heartbreak that can linger long after a relationship fades. Leaning into classic country ballad territory, McFarland delivers an emotionally rich vocal performance, weaving subtle country-style riffs into the track while emphasising the vulnerability within the lyrics.
Behind the scenes, this new country music release was produced by Will Weatherly, who has previously collaborated with artists including Alana Springsteen and Billy Currington. The song was written by Hannah McFarland alongside Weatherly and songwriter Carson Wallace, bringing together a creative team that blends intimate storytelling with polished production.
Mixing was handled by Jim Cooley, while mastering was completed by Mike Cervantes, with additional mixing by Chris VanOverberghe. Will Weatherly also contributed as programmer and keyboardist on the track, while Seth Michael provided both acoustic and electric guitar, and Grady Saxman performed the drum kit and percussion parts. The production team was further supported by Alyson McAnally, who served as production coordinator.
Speaking about the song, Hannah McFarland said, “‘Missin’ Me’ has been such a fun song to spend time on, because it’s given me a chance to show a side of my personality and creativity that my other releases haven’t revealed yet. This is exactly the type of music that I scream along to in my car with the windows down. It’s me in my healing era, and I hope everyone who hears it has that same experience!”
“Missin’ Me” follows Hannah McFarland’s debut EP “Broken Hearts”, which arrived in 2025. In recent months, McFarland has also collaborated with several established names in country music, including joining Chase Rice on the track “Foolin’”, and appearing as a featured artist on songs by Riley Green and Brett Young.
Alongside her studio releases, Hannah McFarland has been steadily expanding her presence as a live performer. After spending much of 2025 touring with Riley Green and making her debut at the iconic Grand Ole Opry, the singer-songwriter is preparing for a series of festival appearances in 2026, including performances at Stagecoach Festival, Lone Star Smokeout, and Gulf Coast Jam. She is also expected to rejoin Riley Green on tour later this year.
With her debut 2026 single release out now, this rising country music singer-songwriter continues to develop her reputation for heartfelt songwriting and expressive performances, offering listeners another glimpse into the emotional storytelling that has quickly become a defining part of her sound.
“Missin’ Me”, by Hannah McFarland, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via Capitol Records, The Core Records, and UMG Recordings.
