Rising talent Cat Evers has officially unveiled her latest single, “Aphrodite”, which is out today and set to capture listeners with its powerful message of self-discovery and confidence. This acts as the follow-up to her self-titled EP, which was released earlier this year, back in May.
The creative process behind “Aphrodite” began during a writer’s camp Evers attended in April 2023 in upstate New York. Starting as a vocal loop using her BOSS RC202 pedal, the track grew into a rich composition featuring intricate layers of vocal harmonies, which have become a defining characteristic of Evers’ sound. Her production draws from inspirations like Frou Frou’s “A New Kind of Love” and Britney Spears’ unforgettable hit “Toxic”, giving the track a dynamic and fresh energy.
Written by Cat Evers alongside Dominic Fell-Roots and Ian Holmes, “Aphrodite” explores the mindset of confidence—how telling yourself something enough times can make it a reality. Evers focuses on how repeatedly affirming something to yourself can eventually make it feel true. The track touches on the complexities of identity, highlighting the internal struggle of balancing different sides of oneself while seeking harmony. Evers’ message emphasises that while personal growth and change can be challenging, it’s often through these uncomfortable moments that genuine confidence emerges—sometimes crafted entirely by our own hands.

Cat Evers’ musical journey, which began in Malibu, California, has led her to craft a unique sound blending pop, rock, and R&B. Her talents as a vocalist and storyteller have taken her to notable New York venues such as Nublu and The Sultan Room, where she has performed her original works. A graduate of Vocal Performance and Literary Studies from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Evers is also a recording engineer, co-owning Liquid Sounds NYC, a Brooklyn-based rehearsal and recording space.
