Driven by an upbeat house rhythm and vibrant synth textures, “RUDE!” captures a playful yet rebellious energy. The track was composed by Sebastian Thott, Maya Rose, and Arineh Karimi, with lyrics penned by Park Tae Won, danke, and HyungSuk Lee, while Sebastian Thott also took the helm as producer. Leaning into themes of individuality and self-expression, the song presents a brighter, more dynamic sonic direction compared to some of the group’s earlier material. Where previous house-inspired releases embraced a sleeker, more polished mood, “RUDE!” reveals a livelier edge, further expanding Hearts2Hearts’ evolving musical identity.
The music video leans into a creative and symbolic concept, placing the members in a surreal production facility where glowing hearts represent digital validation. As the system begins to malfunction due to the appearance of a fake heart, the group take it upon themselves to fix the imbalance and reignite its original energy. Blending playful visuals with a deeper metaphor, the video reflects the song’s underlying themes of sincerity and self-confidence, while reinforcing the importance of remaining genuine in an increasingly artificial world. The release comes at a meaningful time for Hearts2Hearts, as they prepare to celebrate their first anniversary since their debut. To mark the occasion, the group hosted their inaugural fan meeting, “<HEARTS 2 HOUSE>”, held at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul. The event allowed fans to experience “RUDE!” performed live, highlighting the group’s growing stage presence and strengthening their connection with their audience.
Looking ahead, Hearts2Hearts are continuing to build international momentum, with showcase performances scheduled in New York on March 19 and Los Angeles on March 22, followed by a fan meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 28. The North American dates are being promoted in partnership with Live Nation, signalling the group’s expanding global reach as they enter their second year.
