Good Star Vibes is thrilled to exclusively premiere the stunning new single and music video, titled “SUPERNOVA”, the latest release from genre-defying duo Aurelia & Icarus Moth, featuring the dynamic vocals of Ehiorobo. The track is taken from their forthcoming collaborative EP “PROMETHEANS”, which is set to drop on June 30, 2025. This acts as the follow-up to Aurelia’s previous collaboration with Icarus Moth on the single “ABRASIVE”; Icarus Moth’s collaboration with MZUNGU on the single “Head on Down”; and Ehiorobo’s feature on Jabberwocky’s single “Handle Business”.
Transporting listeners to a cosmos of their own making, “SUPERNOVA” is a sonic and visual experience wrapped in shimmering textures, experimental composition, and ethereal storytelling. Written by Aurelia and Ehiorobo, while it was produced by Icarus Moth, the track bursts with celestial energy and emotional depth, bringing industrial techno into a rhythmic pop soundscape. Lyrically, the song touches on self-confidence, defiance, and empowerment, delivered with strength and dignity, easily making sure they’re on the right side of the line between confident and arrogant.
The accompanying visual, which we’re exclusively premiering alongside the song itself, brings a nuanced EDM energy by focusing on two Zenith television screens linked with bright blue LED cables. We watch the three artists perform the track effortlessly, freely, and confidently.

The video, directed and designed by Aurelia, who also edited and coloured it, invites the listener to escape into their exciting industrial-tech EDM world. Shot by Casey Thomson-Comstock, we watch Aurelia and Ehiorobo singing the track through pixellated screens that were popular back in the ’90s, adding a bit of nostalgia which links well with the verses as she brings the fierce ’90s dance vocals; yet as the track develops, Icarus Moth impresses with techno beats and an alternative industrialised drop that has huge potential to go viral this summer.
Symbolism and conceptualisation seem to be a running theme throughout the video, while we watch all three performers bring their stage presence; from Aurelia being the strong vocal powerhouse, to Icarus Moth being the cool and calm DJ/Producer, to Ehiorobo being the chilled R&B act. The visual component enhances the cosmic nature of the song, truly enriching “SUPERNOVA” into a warped nostalgic-yet-modern energy. The artists perform in various locations, including a subway carriage and a dance studio (eagle-eyed viewers will notice that this is the same studio from many music videos, notably 4th Impact’s “Distorted“).
Talking about the track, Aurelia said: “‘SUPERNOVA’ is a power anthem I wrote for myself—and for anyone who needs to feel free, joyful, and seen. I wanted it to be something people could dance to and feel liberated by, just like I did while writing it. The lyrics are BOLD and evocative, inspired by my journey in embracing my gender identity and sexuality—a process that’s taken time, reflection, and a lot of unlearning.”
She continued by saying: “I’ve been lucky to have incredible queer mentors who helped me understand what it means to be nonbinary and where my strength truly lies, and part of it actually is in femininity and sensuality, which are on this track. Their support inspired me to create something celebratory, not self-critical. I was going through a lot when I made this record, and I needed a reminder of the joy I’ve felt at Pride, in packed clubs with friends, and on dance floors where I felt most alive. This track marks a bold shift in my sound and identity, and performing it on tour last year helped me find a new kind of self-love.”

Icarus Moth also added his thoughts on the track by saying, “’SUPERNOVA’ is meant to feel like you are flying past an exploding star so you can feel the heat from the chaos on your skin. This track is meant to be the unobstructed ability to feel yourself and the confidence to express that outwardly. Sometimes there’s no better medium for this expression than some straight up 4 on the floor, it drives you forward and hypnotizes you into a perpetual rhythm that distorts time and primes your dopamine receptors for some self spoken words of affirmation, ‘didn’t you know that you are that bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch….?'”
On top of that, Ehiorobo added: “I feel like ‘SUPERNOVA’ is a soul-igniting, playful, and otherworldly dancefloor record. Within the space of the ‘PROMETHEANS’ project, it’s kind of a call to action to the listener, inspiring them to acknowledge their worth while thrashing about in pure fun. As the featured vocalist on this track, I think I was tasked with adding a slightly different tone with my performance to make it clear to any listener that the energy of this track is social, a bit daring, and simply focused on having a good time.”
The collaborative project fuses the strengths of each artist involved: Aurelia, a multifaceted creative known for their work in visual art, songwriting, and production, contributes vocals, visual direction, and lyricism. Icarus Moth, whose background in commercial music gives him a keen ear for immersive arrangements, pushes boundaries with his innovative production. Together, they craft a track that thrives on contrast—delicate and chaotic, grounded and galactic.
Adding another layer to the sonic world is Ehiorobo, whose vocal versatility breathes life into the track’s layered emotions. With an eclectic discography that fuses indie R&B, electronic, jazz, and beyond, Ehiorobo’s contribution elevates “SUPERNOVA” into a realm of its own.

“PROMETHEANS”, the EP from which “SUPERNOVA” is lifted, promises to be a full-sensory experience. Comprised of five tracks, it’s a concept-driven project that imagines a fictional planet rooted in queer futurism, mythological motifs, and genre-bending musical experimentation. With its inventive soundscapes and striking visuals, the EP is shaping up to be a major statement piece for both Aurelia and Icarus Moth.
With features in the likes of Vogue Italia, Wonderland, and Alternative Press, Aurelia has long proven their prowess across music and visual art. Their work channels deeply personal experiences into multi-dimensional creations, transforming trauma and healing into arresting sound and vision.
Meanwhile, Icarus Moth has built a reputation for pushing the limits of genre and sound. Having worked with names such as MOTHICA and Crystal Fighters, and earning accolades including Red Dot Awards for sound branding, his work consistently challenges and redefines the boundaries of contemporary music.
Ehiorobo rounds out this powerhouse trio, bringing an adventurous, genre-hopping voice that’s both vulnerable and vibrant. Whether through collaborations or his own LPs, he continues to reshape the landscape of experimental R&B and electronic fusion.
“SUPERNOVA” is officially released tomorrow, June 25, but you can watch the exclusive premiere of the music video right now, only on Good Star Vibes.
