We previously heard this track during an acoustic set for their 10-year anniversary show in Nottingham, and we loved it then in its slowed and poignant version which only made the words more touching and dramatic. Ever since the show, we’ve been excited to hear this official version, preparing ourselves to rock out to the more energetic take that is bound to have more hard-rock vibes.
Written by Ande Hunter, Bethany Hunter, and Timmy Francis, while it has been produced by Alex Copp, mixed by Sam Guaiana, and mastered by Mike Kalajian, “Therapy” is an addicting hard-rock song that plunges deeply into relatable emotion, hitting the core of every listener. The release of this song continues to show the breadth and versatility that we have not only come to expect from As December Falls but is certainly one of their unique top traits, and we just know their forthcoming fourth studio album will highlight this ten-fold.

Throughout the song, Bethany Hunter unleashes powerhouse vocals brimming with grit, fire, and strength. Her passionate delivery connects deeply with listeners, as every word she sings is imbued with raw emotion and authenticity. Ande Hunter’s intricate guitar work and Timmy Francis’ deep, resonant bass lines lay the perfect foundation, providing the track with a dynamic flow that seamlessly transitions between its soaring highs and reflective lows.
But it’s KC’s explosive drumming that pushes “Therapy” to new heights, capturing the spotlight with thunderous beats that resonate deeply and give the song an edge that many indie-rock bands can only aspire to. Together, the band’s synergy creates an unforgettable listening experience, solidifying As December Falls as one of the UK’s most exciting indie-rock acts.
Alongside the release of the single, last Friday, the band also dropped a music video, on Monday, directed by Camphaus Media. This performance-based visual setting may come off as basic in comparison to their previous music videos however the high quality of the production and the band’s undeniable stage presence prove that you don’t need to spend all the money you have to create an engaging and powerful music video.
As the frontwoman, Bethany Hunter is a total star, expressing the meaning behind the song throughout and connecting with the viewers—just like she does with the listeners of the track. She grabs the spotlight throughout and you can tell she means every single word that she’s singing. Shots of Ande Hunter, Timmy Francis, and KC are shown throughout and their passion for this track is unmistakable, with all three bringing their stage energy but turned up to 11, fuelling a fire that the audience can feel.

Midway through the video, scraps of paper with the word “Therapy” printed on them cascade from the ceiling, adding a visually striking layer of depth. The post-production shines with slow-motion effects that amplify the drama during a gripping hard-rock instrumental section—who doesn’t love a hard-rock drop? We certainly do.
This moment is a total highlight of the song as a whole, showcasing the sheer talent and synergy of the instrumentalists. It’s a powerful reminder of how As December Falls seamlessly combines their raw musical energy with artistic precision, creating a sound that truly sets them apart.
Alongside the release of this single, the band announced their forthcoming fourth studio album,” Everything’s on Fire but I’m Fine”, set to drop on August 8, 2025. Featuring 14 tracks, the album is now available for pre-order across download sites such as iTunes and Amazon, as well as on their official store.
Fans can look forward to special limited-edition signed vinyls, alongside signed deluxe and standard CD versions, and even a cassette release. With this album, the band is aiming to surpass their previous chart success—”Join The Club” peaked at Number 11—with ambitions of securing a coveted Top 10 spot.

Notably, they’re keen to hold their own against Taylor Swift, whose three albums dominated the Top 10 on the official chart announcement following the first week of the release of “Join The Club”. Despite initially landing at Number 3 in the midweek charts, the band was ultimately edged out of the Top 10 by Swift’s impressive chart presence. This time, the band is pulling out all the stops to ensure they break into the Top 10 and solidify their reputation as one of the UK’s most successful indie rock acts.
