Mark Wise, the New Jersey-based DJ and producer known for his boundary-pushing approach to techno-metal, has officially unleashed his newest EP, “Satisfaction”, on all major streaming platforms today. The EP brings Wise’s trademark blend of heavy metal and throbbing dance beats to new heights, delivering a jolt of pure energy that’s as aggressive as it is addictive. This acts as the follow-up to his previous single “Acid Bath”.
For fans who couldn’t wait to get their hands on this powerhouse project, the EP has been available exclusively on Beatport since 31 October, where listeners can experience extended mixes of each track. Now, with its full release, listeners everywhere can immerse themselves in the EP’s explosive sound.
The title track, “Satisfaction”, is Wise’s high-octane reimagining of Benny Benassi’s iconic dance anthem, but it’s far from a simple cover. Wise’s version amps up the aggression, transforming the track into a relentless fusion of pounding techno and razor-sharp metal. Featuring roaring guitar riffs and intense vocal samples, this track is poised to set dancefloors on fire, blending industrial influences with the hypnotic pulse of techno to create what Wise himself calls a “100% mental” experience.
Accompanying the title track is “Dark Angels”, a collaborative effort with Danicide, the frontman of Peruvian industrial-metal band Noisecide. Channelling the hard-hitting style of industrial titans like KMFDM, this track is a darker and more intense counterpart to “Satisfaction”. Addictingly rhythmic, “Dark Angels” shows versatility as these two powerhouse artists deliver an unforgettable track that is determined to get stuck in one’s head. Danicide’s visceral vocals are strong and full of feeling as his gritty guitar work merges with Wise’s pounding beats, creating a powerful anthem for fans of dance-infused industrial metal.
Reflecting on the EP, Wise shared his excitement, describing “Satisfaction” as an unrestrained, all-out sonic assault. “It’s absolutely fucking mental,” he laughed, adding that his goal was to craft a sound that was both aggressive and exhilarating.
With this two-track EP, Wise redefines the limits of techno-metal. By bridging the gap between metal and techno in ways few have dared, Wise has crafted an unforgettable experience that resonates long after the last beat drops.
“Satisfaction”, the new two-track EP from Mark Wise, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via Teoria Perfekta.
