Your track “Contigo” has been topping the Beatport Afro House charts for a while. What do you think made this track connect so deeply with listeners?

It’s a mystery to me, honestly. There’s no clear formula for why one track hits and another doesn’t. But I think “Contigo” came at the right time. It was made at the start of spring, and that feeling of renewal, of opening up, just flowed into the track. I was in a particular headspace, and that emotion seemed to translate to the people.

Can you tell us about your process when creating music?

I’m not the kind of artist who makes tracks alone. I work closely with my producer Meyer. We bring our ideas to the table, and together we create something that feels right. The most exciting part for me is when a demo turns into a fully produced, polished track that you know is going to move people.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects we should look out for?

I’m always working on new things. My team and I are in the studio creating fresh Afro House sounds, and I’m definitely looking forward to what the future holds. There are some collaborations in the works, too, and I can’t wait to share them with the world. This year is going to be full of exciting stuff.

You’ve played in countries like France and Bahrain. What is it about connecting with international audiences that excites you?

It’s always special to perform in new places because every crowd is unique. Each country, each city brings a different energy, and I love feeding off that. It’s not about me—it’s about the connection with the people. That’s what matters most.

With her eyes set firmly on the future and her sound rooted in authenticity, SHADU is a force pushing Afro House into bold new territory. Whether in the studio or behind the decks in a faraway city, she’s proof that when passion meets purpose, boundaries blur and magic happens. Keep your ears open—SHADU is just getting started.

“Contigo”, by SHADU, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via IAMT Music Group. More recently, she has followed that release up with a two-track single titled “Ahora” which includes the title track alongside “Tribal Echoes”.
