A confident blend of indie dance and tech house takes centre stage on “Hot Girl Walk”, the latest collaboration from WELKER and NO STATIC. Bringing together WELKER’s perspective as a Brazilian-born producer now based in Los Angeles with NO STATIC’s New York roots, the new single arrives through Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION with a groove-led production designed to make an impression on the dance floor. This acts as the follow-up to WELKER’s single “LA TO IBIZA” and NO STATIC’s collaboration with NAAR (US) on the single “Digital Detox”.

Built around a confident female rap vocal, “Hot Girl Walk” takes a playful approach to its dancefloor-ready sound. The production combines a driving groove with booming plucks, fizzy synth textures, and call-and-response elements created through buzzing sawtooth sounds, giving the track a distinctive character while maintaining the energy expected from both genres.

Rather than sitting firmly within one side of the electronic spectrum, the collaboration finds a middle ground between the sleek qualities of indie dance and the heavier punch of tech house. That combination allows “Hot Girl Walk” to move between different moments of a DJ set, while its vocal-led hook gives the track an immediately recognisable centre.

“‘Hot Girl Walk’ started from the idea of making something sexy, catchy, heavy, and full of groove,” says WELKER. “It’s one of those tracks that can fit into different moments of a set – it can work as a transition into something heavier, but it can also be strong enough to open or close a set. What I really like about it is how original it feels, sitting right in the middle of my sound and NO STATIC’s style.”

NO STATIC echoed that by saying, “‘Hot Girl Walk’ is the perfect blend of tech house and indie dance, with a confident female vocal that delivers a unique moment on both the dance floor and the main stage.”

The collaboration arrives at a particularly strong point in WELKER’s rise within electronic music. After spending around a decade studying the construction of commercial music, the producer turned his attention towards the underground, developing a sound that moves across indie dance, house, and techno.

That transition has already resulted in significant chart momentum, with the rising DJ and producer’s three most recent releases reaching the Top 3 of Beatport’s charts. His track “Ice In My Eyes” went a step further, spending more than a month at Number 1 on Beatport’s Indie Dance chart.

WELKER has also worked alongside TOBEHONEST, HILLS, and Broken Hill, while his productions have received support from artists including Max Styler, Solomun, Vintage Culture, Massano, Innellea, and Adam Ten. His current touring schedule is also taking him across a number of US venues and events during his Fall Tour.

NO STATIC brings a similarly growing presence to the collaboration, having been developing his sound across tech house and indie dance since 2022. His relationship with IN / ROTATION began earlier this year when he joined forces with Dansyn for “Pressure”, which has since accumulated more than 590,000 streams and picked up radio support from stations and programmes including SLAM!, FG Dance, CJSR, Beat 100.9FM, EDM Sessions, and BPM Electro.

“Pressure” has also received backing from CID, ACRAZE, EdiP, and Matroda, while NO STATIC’s wider catalogue has been played by names including Max Styler, Vintage Culture, Solomun, FISHER, John Summit, Diplo, Adam Ten, and Mau P. Elsewhere, “Blow Your Mind” has passed 1.4 million streams, while “Genie” has surpassed 2.6 million. His current touring schedule will see him performing across a variety of US states, hitting venues and rooftop events.

NO STATIC stands against a vivid blue studio backdrop, hands in the pockets of a bright blue hoodie, wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans. His relaxed pose feels confident and casual.

With “Hot Girl Walk”, the two producers now bring those respective experiences together for a track that places groove, attitude, and club energy at its centre. The collaboration gives WELKER and NO STATIC room to explore the overlap between their sounds, while the distinctive vocal and layered production keep the track moving from its opening beat through to its final moments.

“Hot Girl Walk” is released through IN / ROTATION, the Insomniac Music Group label established in 2017 to spotlight contemporary house music. Its catalogue spans bass house, tech house, indie dance, and other styles built around the four-on-the-floor format, with previous releases from artists including SIDEPIECE, SLAMM, Tini Gessler, Rafael Cerato, Yulia Niko, Dansyn, Airwolf Paradise, Benson, Broken Hill, and many more.

For WELKER and NO STATIC, “Hot Girl Walk” adds another collaboration to their respective journeys while showcasing just how naturally indie dance and tech house can work alongside one another.

“Hot Girl Walk”, by WELKER and NO STATIC, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via IN / ROTATION.
