HAYLA released her new single “Heal”, last Friday, marking a reflective and emotionally charged return from the Grammy-nominated vocalist as she steps further into a more vulnerable, dark-pop-influenced direction. This acts as the follow-up to her collaboration with Nelly Furtado on the single “FADED”.

The Liverpool-born, London-based artist, known for her commanding presence across electronic music, continues to expand her creative identity with the track, which leans into stripped-back production built around piano and strings. Rather than the high-energy club collaborations many listeners may associate her with, this release places her voice at the centre, allowing the emotional weight of the song to take focus.

Co-written by HAYLA alongside the producer of the track, Magnus Skylstad, “Heal” explores themes of emotional damage, self-protection, and the gradual process of opening up again after disappointment. The track reflects on what it means to crave connection while still carrying the fear of being let down, creating a contrast between longing and hesitation that shapes its overall tone.
One of the song’s most striking lyrical moments captures that sense of vulnerability directly, with HAYLA singing: “I want you to heal the parts of me that no one loved.” The dark-pop production leans into that sentiment, giving space for her to deliver emotionally driven vocals that carry the weight of the lyrics. Technical yet powerful, her performance highlights both her vocal control and her ability to convey depth through each note.
Prior to its official release, HAYLA previewed “Heal” during her 2025 North American headlining tour, as well as more recently at a performance at London’s St Pancras Church, where the song’s intimate arrangement was showcased in a live setting.

Grammy-nominated, Gold-certified singer-songwriter, HAYLA first rose to prominence through a series of major collaborations within electronic music, working with artists such as ILLENIUM on “In My Arms”, John Summit on “Where You Are” and “Shiver”, MEDUZA on “Another World”, and Kygo on “Without You”. These collaborations helped establish her as one of the most recognisable vocalists in modern electronic music, while also laying the groundwork for her evolving solo catalogue. She has also worked across the wider pop and electronic space, collaborating with Nelly Furtado on “FADED”, Sub Focus on “I Found You”, and Kx5—the collaborative project from Kaskade and Deadmau5—on “Escape”.
Beyond her latest release, HAYLA’s career has included performances at major global stages and festivals, including Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Ushuaïa Ibiza. Her debut album “DUSK” also marked a significant milestone, earning notable radio support and streaming success, further cementing her position within the genre. Collectively, her music has garnered over one billion streams across platforms.
As she continues to evolve artistically, “Heal” signals a more introspective chapter for HAYLA, one that prioritises emotional storytelling and vocal intimacy over the dancefloor-driven sound she is widely known for.
“Heal”, by HAYLA, is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms, via Restless Minds Music under exclusive licence to Believe UK.
