Bringing their signature blend of Americana and folk, “Honey” captures the unspoken realities of long-term love—the quiet moments of doubt, distance, and devotion that often unfold behind closed doors. The track emerged from a time of transition during financial strain, capturing the emotional weight that moving cities and juggling life’s challenges can place on love.
Poignant from the start, the gentle pairing of guitar and flute sets a tender backdrop for Briggs’ heartfelt vocals in the opening verse and chorus, followed by Stark’s equally moving delivery in the second. The two unite in flawless harmony as the track builds to its conclusion. A stirring Americana-folk duet that captures love’s resilience through moments of doubt and distance.
Inspired by YUNGBLUD, who came up with the idea that we must “fall in love with [someone] 15 times in life because they’re going to change”, this new single reflects on what it means to continually choose each other through life’s shifting seasons. As Briggs & Stark explain, the song “acknowledges the parts of long-term love that don’t often make it into songs—the fights, the distance, and the loneliness that comes along with it… but choosing each other anyway.”
Built around a gentle flute introduction and warm acoustic textures, “Honey” feels instantly familiar yet emotionally fresh. The duo weave in their trademark harmonies with a sense of raw vulnerability, turning the everyday complexities of love into something quietly moving and deeply human.
Recorded at Dub Cavern in Norwich with producer Mikey Shaw, “Honey” introduces the themes that will flow throughout The Moving Diaries—a project chronicling the emotional ups and downs of building a shared life, from the excitement of new beginnings to the challenges of change and uncertainty.
The release follows a strong year for Briggs & Stark, who have performed at festivals including Wickham, Weyfest, and The British Country Music Festival—where they were named “one of the most mentioned artists” of 2025. They’ve also headlined two sold-out shows at Guildford’s renowned The Star Inn—one celebrating their debut EP launch in 2024 and another in August 2025—further cementing their reputation as one of the UK’s most promising Americana–folk acts.

“Honey” by Briggs & Stark is available to download and stream, right now, across all platforms. Look out for their forthcoming sophomore EP, “The Moving Diaries”, in 2026.
