Renowned for their stirring performances and soulful harmonies, The Kingdom Choir is set to bring festive cheer to select cities across North America with their A Kingdom Christmas Tour. This much-anticipated holiday tour promises an evening of love, hope, and inspiration, as the choir performs both beloved Christmas classics and new selections that are sure to resonate with audiences.
Among the holiday favourites to be performed are timeless pieces such as “Go Tell It On The Mountain” and “O Come All Ye Faithful”, all given The Kingdom Choir’s unique and captivating touch. Speaking about the tour, the choir’s founder, Karen Gibson MBE, shared her excitement: “It will be an event like no other, as we add our own unique style to some well-known classics with a few surprises.”
Since their unforgettable performance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 royal wedding, The Kingdom Choir has captivated audiences worldwide. Their heartfelt rendition of “Stand By Me” at the wedding was watched by over 2 billion people, solidifying their status as one of the world’s premier gospel choirs. Led by the “Godmother of Gospel” herself, Karen Gibson MBE, the choir has gone on to perform at some of the most prestigious venues globally, including the Hollywood Bowl, The Royal Albert Hall, the Invictus Games, and even a Major League Baseball game.
Founded in 1994 by Karen Gibson MBE, The Kingdom Choir has worked alongside musical legends such as Gladys Knight, Gregory Porter, and Emeli Sandé, while also collaborating with iconic brands like Cartier, Ralph Lauren, and Coca-Cola. Notable performances include a breathtaking appearance with Barbara Streisand at the British Summer Time Hyde Park festival and a prestigious performance at Prince Albert II of Monaco’s 2021 gala. Last year, the choir celebrated their 30th anniversary with a sold-out show at London’s Royal Festival Hall, followed by an encore performance at the Barbican due to overwhelming demand.
This holiday season, The Kingdom Choir will be spreading their message of unity and joy across 17 cities in North America. Kicking off on November 15, 2024, in Palm Desert, California, the tour will visit venues from Los Angeles to Montreal, before wrapping up in Boston on December 15, 2024.
