This acts as the official follow-up to her previous single “Start Over Again”.
With “Paradise”, Eberson leans into a softer, more introspective sound—one that quietly unfolds rather than demands attention. “In a world that moves quickly and demands more and more from us, the most valuable moments can be the quiet, almost invisible ones,” Eberson explains. “When the sun warms your skin just right, the lilacs release their sweet scent, and a song you’d almost forgotten plays in the distance. These are the moments I try to capture with ‘Paradise.'”
Following the reflective tones of “Start Over Again”, Eberson continues to unfold her most personal work to date with this latest release. She’s currently producing her upcoming album alongside Lars Voldsdal, who has worked with the likes of Madrugada, Claudia Scott, and Turbonegro—a collaboration that promises something both introspective and sonically rich.
Marte Eberson’s solo journey has been steadily gaining momentum. While many will recognise her from her time with Highasakite—the Norwegian powerhouse band that saw international success and earned multiple Spellemann Awards—she’s now carving a new creative path that is unmistakably her own. Her 2023 album “Free” highlighted her versatility as an artist, weaving together pop, jazz, electronica, and modern classical influences with bold production and a cinematic touch.
Outside of her solo career, Eberson frequently collaborates with fellow musicians and is also a driving force behind the jazz-rock band Eberson—a project she shares with her father, celebrated guitarist Jon Eberson. Their work together is both playful and experimental, blending generations and styles in a way that feels fresh yet rooted in musical heritage.
