Rising country artist Callum Kerr is having a landmark year as he prepares to make his Grand Ole Opry debut and officially announces the release of his first-ever EP, “Roots Under Me”.
The Scottish-born singer-songwriter, who found his passion for country music at the age of 17 after moving to Texas, was recently surprised with the Opry invitation during his performance at ONErpm’s Whiskey Jam Takeover. The moment was made even more memorable when country star Dustin Lynch appeared in a surprise video message, personally inviting Kerr to step onto the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage. The milestone performance is set for July 26, 2025, a defining moment in what’s proving to be a fast-rising and authentic journey through country music for the singer-songwriter.
Talking about the invitation, Callum Kerr stated: “If the kid who first heard and fell in love with country music at 17 when he moved to Texas, knew that one day he’d play at its greatest stage, he’d lose his mind. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity. Another feather in the cap on this journey through the best genre of music in the world.”
Before he takes to the Opry stage, Kerr will release his debut EP, “Roots Under Me”, on July 25 via ONErpm/Huff Co. The six-track project promises a heartfelt mix of classic country themes, blending songs of love, heartbreak, and good times—the hallmarks of the genre. With raw emotion and storytelling at the forefront, the EP aims to showcase Kerr’s authenticity and his undeniable roots in country music.

On top of the EP and the Opry, Kerr is also set to take to the stage at CMA Fest in Nashville this June—marking his debut appearance at the iconic country music festival and another major moment in his rapidly rising career.
While his music career is gaining serious momentum, Kerr is no stranger to the entertainment world. As an actor, he has appeared in a number of popular film and TV roles, including FOX’s Monarch, Amazon’s Wheel of Time, and the two Netflix series, Virgin River and One Piece.

With “Roots Under Me” on the horizon, a CMA Fest performance on the cards, and an Opry debut just weeks away, Callum Kerr is firmly planting himself in the heart of country music—and all signs point to a breakthrough year ahead.
