Mixed by acclaimed producer Jamie Macneal (also known as JMAC), whose credits include Sadie Jean, Medium Build, Sarah Close, Haux, and Luz, “Strobe Lights” carries a glossy yet deeply emotional polish. Originally composed instrumentally for a short film created by ELUNIA herself—which she produced, edited, and sound designed—the track was born from a concept piece that follows a young woman painting with her body across a dreamlike landscape. Each brushstroke becomes a metaphor for resilience and the beauty of struggle, a theme that pulses through every layer of the song. The short film is set to be pitched for use by a mental health charity.

At its core, “Strobe Lights” captures ELUNIA’s confrontation with burnout culture and society’s glorification of exhaustion. Having spent time working in London’s high-pressure film post-production industry, she observed how fatigue was celebrated as a badge of honour. “It seemed like a prize to be overworked, to have dark circles under your eyes,” she says. “I tried to convince myself I was fine, but I realised I was losing the connection to my younger self and the version of me who created music just to feel something real.”

Musically, the single showcases her textural sophistication and emotional depth, blending delicate vocal layers with sweeping electronic production that feels both intimate and expansive. The result is a standout performance that signals a significant artistic leap, cementing ELUNIA’s reputation as one of the most exciting emerging artists redefining introspective electronic music.

Artistically defined throughout, this rising singer-songwriter effortlessly showcases her gift for crafting music that flows with nuance and emotion, creating a deep connection with listeners. Her magnetic vocals infuse each lyric with added depth and resonance, ensuring the message hits home. Powerful and memorable, this new single leaves a lasting impact—a reminder to hold onto hope—while its hook lingers in the mind long after the track fades.

There’s a sense of serenity and strength intertwined within the track—a reflection of this singer-songwriter’s journey from isolation to empowerment. Her artistry draws comparisons to the emotive lyricism of Lorde and Daughter, while her sound design evokes the atmospheric world-building of Glass Animals and RÜFÜS DU SOL. Yet, her approach remains wholly her own: ELUNIA’s approach feels groundbreaking in its emotional honesty and sonic restraint, a rare blend that allows both her vulnerability and her technical skill to shine.

Through “Strobe Lights”, ELUNIA proves herself an artist pushing the boundaries of immersive pop, offering a song that is not just sonically lush but conceptually meaningful. Her work reflects both cultural awareness and artistic innovation, tackling mental health and creative burnout with rare sensitivity and self-awareness. It’s a trailblazing step forward for an artist whose forward-thinking vision is quickly establishing her as a genre-defining force in the indie-electronic realm.
