In the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, which marked episode six of the fifth series, the queens faced the iconic Snatch Game challenge, and it was a rollercoaster of comedy and incredible runways. This week, the spotlight was on DeDeLicious, who proved to be a lip-sync assassin, ultimately leading to the elimination of Vicki Vivacious, whilst Ginger Johnson won her third RuPeter Badge, in a row, and rightly so!

The Snatch Game, renowned for its celebrity impersonation challenge, welcomed special guests Carol Vorderman and Alexandra Burke as panellists. Alexandra Burke later joined the judges’ panel alongside RuPaul, Michelle Visage, and Alan Carr, adding her own flair to the episode, and giving us some great one-liner puns – this runway was hilarious in its own right, never mind being paired with possibly the best UK Snatch Game, ever.

As Ginger Johnson basked in the glory of her triumphant portrayal of romance novelist Dame Barbara Cartland, the evening took an unexpected sombre turn for DeDeLicious and Vicki Vivacious. Unfortunately, their attempts to capture the essence of Lady Colin Campbell and Fanny Cradock fell short of expectations.

The Snatch Game also saw Tomara Thomas completely shine as Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire, and Kate Butch making us cackle with her impersonation of Kate Bush. The main challenge also saw Cara Melle as Dionne Warwick and Michael Marouli as Catherine Tate in her various comedy sketch characters.

Ultimately DeDeLicious and Vicki Vivacious weren’t up for the task of Snatch Game, leading them to the precarious position of being the two queens at the bottom of the rankings. Although, Vicki Vivacious absolutely stunned everyone with her incredible “Heart-Ons” runway outfit.

The tension reached its peak as these bottom queens went head-to-head in an iconic and unforgettable lip-sync for your life. The queens has to battle it out to Alexandra Burke’s incredibly addicting track, “Heartbreak on Hold”. DeDeLicious’s tongue-in-cheek performance – which was probably our favourite lip-sync of the year – outshone her competition, making her this series’ lip-sync assassin and leading to Vicki Vivacious sashaying away from the competition.

Vicki expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you for believing in me when loads of people haven’t.” In the Werk Room, she reflected on her exit, sharing, “I am devastated not to make it to the end, but I am so proud to be the first Cornish girl ever on Drag Race around the world. It feels incredible. I hope I’ve made you proud, Cornwall. I love you, and I’ll see you soon.”

As the competition intensifies, next week promises more excitement with Joel Dommett joining the judges. The remaining queens will face an acting challenge, spoofing romantic dramas, as they continue their quest for the coveted crown.
